This is one of the most famous business self-help books in the world. This story is written in plain and simple English. It’s easy to understand for pre-intermediate level learners. It’s a short fantastical story and it shows by metaphor how to be an ideal business person. It should help to increase your motivation if you would like to have a good attitude going forward.

For intermediate:
“How to Win Friends & Influence People” by Dale Carnegie

I believe this book is kind of a bible for the business person. This book talks about how people set habits and their mindsets. The author divides into 7 phases the habits that people should have and the steps for highly effective (business) people. This book is written simply but its vocabulary is a bit hard to understand. So, it might be a better read for upper-intermediate students.

For upper-intermediate:
“Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki

This book tells us to have a fanatical attitude. It’s a non-fiction work, and the story tells us whether our understanding of finance is correct or not. It’s more like a textbook for understanding financial literacy, which I recommend business people take on.

Grammar:
The Grammar in Use series is great for understanding English grammar in simple English. It is a great reference when reading English books. There are three stages of the series for English learners: Essential, General and Advanced. I recommend these three stages of books for intermediate learners.
